Exciting news Eurovision fans! The EBU have announced that the slogan for the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest will be United By Music and will continue to be the slogan each year for all future contests.
The slogan was created by the BBC for the 2023 contest in Liverpool showing its partnership with the previous year’s winner Ukraine who were unable to host. It proved such a success it was decided the slogan will remain for 2024 and for all future contests to create continuity and consistency as part of ‘the Contest’s global brand strategy’. Historically, a different slogan had been used every year from 2002 – 2023 (except in 2009 when no slogan was used).
The contest has a rich history in promoting diversity and inclusivity and bridging different communities through music. Although it will be a shame not to see different slogans moving forward, I do think this slogan perfectly encapsulates the ethos of the Eurovision and I’m looking forward to see it in action in Malmö.
The Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Malmö, Sweden on Tuesday 7 May 2024 (First Semi-Final), Thursday 9 May 2024 (Second Semi-Final) and Saturday 11 May 2024 (Grand Final).
