Eurovision Allocation Draw 2024

The approaching Eurovision Semi-Final Allocation Draw on 30th January 2024 stands as the first step in the quest for Eurovision glory. This draw isn't just a procedural formality; it's a strategic chess move that can make or break a country's journey to qualification for the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö.

There are two semi-finals with 10 entrants qualifying from each. The draw dictates in which semi-final each country will perform, introducing an element of unpredictability that can impact an artist's journey. It is important to note that each country is only able to vote in the semi-final that they have been drawn. A favourable draw could see you grouped with weaker songs and ‘friendly’ countries with complementary musical styles. Conversely, an unfavourable draw could put you competing against the hot favourites for one of the 10 coveted slots to the final.

Malmö 2024
£25.00

There have been many surprises in the past where fan-favourite songs have not been able to see off the competition and have had their Eurovision dreams cut short missing out performing in the Grand Final. Notable examples include Belgium in 2006 (Kate Ryan - Je T'adore), San Marino in 2013 (Valentina Monetta - Crisalide (Vola)) and Greece in 2018 (Yianna Terzi – Oniro Mou).

The allocation draw on 30th January 2024, is more than a mere allocation of slots; it's a glimpse into the intricate dance of fate and strategy that defines Eurovision. For participants, delegations and fans alike, it's the exciting first step towards Malmö 2024 and paves the way for what may lie ahead. Good luck to everybody!
